Who us your favorite author other than yourself in your genre and why?
I really like J.R. Ward, like about a billion other people! I think she is a master as what she does. Alpha Males, new worlds, great world building and mythos. She plots it out well and weaves it all together seamlessly. And again, hello, Alpha Males. Huge sexy Vampires, who doesn’t love that?
What is your favorite book by them and why?
Lover Awakened. Zsadist is my favorite. The epitome of an Alpha Male. He is tortured, in pain and fights his feelings tooth and nail. But there’s a woman who loves him and doesn’t care. Together they both learn to move past their pain to find happiness with each other.
What about their style inspires your writing?
Hmmm…. if you read my previous post about themes in my writing, you’ll see the similarities between my answers to the last question and what I like to write myself. I love tortured heroes and Zsadist is the best written tortured hero I’ve ever read. She inspires me to be a better writer.
