Dead Awakenings, my Urban Fastasy/Paranormal Romance published by Etopia Press was released yesterday. I am super excited to announce that it made Amazon’s Top 100 list in the Fantasy Superhero Category. It remained on the list today as well.
I never expected my debut novel to do as well as this one had, but I am really happy it has. Dead Awakenings was four years in the making and the first book I wrote. The main characters Evaine, Luca and Tristan are very dear to my heart. They have a lot of characteristics patterned after people I know and love. Because of that, I feel I know them very well.
So, I’ve had a lot of people asking me what my secret was for getting my book on Amazon’s list. There is no easy answer. I worked, A Lot! Even though I had a publisher, I took it upon myself as if I had self published and put as much effort into getting the word out as possible about my book. Including, joining groups, making friends, talking to people, getting a blog tour set up, texting, tweeting and flat out working my butt off. That’s how you do it. Combined with writing a book that you love and people want to read.
I have also had people asking me if this is the end of the Dead Awakenings story or if there will be more. Well… I can’t tell you yet. But I will tell you in a few days!
