In a world divided by prejudice and hatred, only love can bridge the chasm.

Tensions are rising in the Gladium Province. The boundary between humans and Morgons, the dragon-hybrid race, has begun to blur. While the human aristocracy strives to maintain distance between Morgon men and their daughters, fate has other plans.

Jessen Cade is the daughter of the wealthiest human family in the province. As corporate king, her father arranges a marriage to a man she detests, solely to increase the Cade empire. Feeling trapped by family duty and a loveless future, she longs for more, straying to the Morgon side of the city.

Lucius Nightwing is the eldest son of the most powerful Morgon clan, and the greatest enemy of Jessen’s father. When a bar-room brawl thrusts Jessen into his arms, his dragon roars to the surface, craving to sate his carnal hunger in the brown-eyed beauty. The beast in Lucius recognizes her as his own, even if the man refuses to admit the truth.

When star-crossed lovers succumb to burning desire, can love rise from the ashes, changing their world forever?

What is your Latest Obsession? Historical romance. Why an urban fantasy writer and paranormal junkie is hooked on HR, I have no idea. Well, I can tell you this. I love being swept away, no matter if it’s to a bygone era or an entirely new fantasy world. Recently, I discovered HR writer, Victoria Lynne, an author who published five novels many years ago and is now only recently starting to write again. She is masterful with quick-witted characters and captivating prose. My go-to authors for HR are Julia Quinn and Eloisa James.

Who is your Secret Crush? Henry Cavill. Holy smokes, that man is ridiculously hot. He should come with a warning alarm before he enters a room.

Shoes? Purses? or Jewelry? Jewelry. I’m not a diamond kind of girl, but like more of the vintage-style and Celtic jewelry.

Coffee? Tea? Hot chocolate? Or something else? Coffee, with cream and sugar, please. And my comfy chair. And my laptop or my kindle.

What was your Best Vacation Ever? Ooooo. Smoky Mountains, Tennessee. It was a family vacation with extended family, making it especially manic at moments, but the best was in the evening. When the kids settled and found a corner to huddle in with their electronics, my husband and I would take a dip in the hot tub with a drink and watch the mist and night roll in over the mountains in the distance. I’ve been to more exotic places, but the mountains seem to call to me. Perhaps that’s why they make so many appearances in my books.

Favorite Music to Write to? I actually have two playlists for writing. One is full of alternative music I love—Evanescence, Volbeat, System of a Down. The other is my go-to list, a mesh of Game of Throne soundtracks. It depends what kind of scene I’m writing.

One food item grosses you out to eat? Every now and then, my husband sneaks a can of sardines into the pantry (because I sure as hell don’t buy the stuff). I think it’s disgusting. I always know when he’s indulging in sardines and crackers because of the rank smell. Ew! But I put up with his gross food vice. He’s worth it. 😉

Author Bio:

Juliette calls lush, moss-laden Louisiana home where the landscape curls into her imagination, creating mystical settings for her stories. She has a B.A. in creative writing from Louisiana State University, a M.Ed. in gifted education, and was privileged to study under the award-winning author Ernest J. Gaines in grad school. Her love of mythology, legends, and art serve as constant inspiration for her works. From the moment she read JANE EYRE as a teenager, she fell in love with the Gothic romance–brooding characters, mysterious settings, persevering heroines, and dark, sexy heroes. Even then, she not only longed to read more novels set in Gothic worlds, she wanted to create her own.
