Okay, I know I get super excited about my guests a LOT! But today I am even more excited! Veronica is a sister in my LARA group of RWA and she is just an all around cool chick! Seriously! She is one of the people I would love to just hang out with. She’s fun, she’s cool, she’s beautiful and she doesn’t pull any punches. I love her. Okay, enough crushing!
Veronica recently released the second book in her Shapes of Autumn Series. But today we are going to spotlight her first release in the series My Wolf’s Bane.
Don’t you just LOVE the font for her name?
Anyway! Here’s a bit about this awesome YA Paranormal.
Different species. Mortal enemies. It’ll never work, but they’ll die trying.
Autumn Rossi thought she was a normal teenager. Suddenly, she can outrun every critter in the forest, making her wonder if she’s even human.
When the new guy at school, Zack de Luca, witnesses a questionable scene, he unfairly pins her as stuck-up. He acts like he hates her, yet he keeps bailing her out of trouble. Not only is Zack both insufferable and irresistible, he seems to sniff her anytime he gets close.
As passion flares between them, Autumn isn’t sure which is more dangerous: her psycho ex-boyfriend, or falling for Zack — who’s risking his life just by being near her.

EXCERPT
The smell of unwashed wolf closed in on me, fur tickling my skin and fetid breath in my face. I trembled, hot tears burning my eyes. The wolf snarled and I scrambled back as he leapt toward me.
“Autumn. Autumn, wake up.” Zack pulled me off the pillow by my shoulders.
I lifted my head and rubbed my eyes, trying to wipe away the mental fuzz. But I was aware enough to notice my comforter wasn’t anywhere near us, certainly not separating me from him. I must have kicked it off during my nightmare.
“Are you okay?” Zack was sitting directly in front of me, his thighs straddling mine, heat from his bare skin radiating through me.
I nodded.
He exhaled in relief and leaned back to sit on his heels. “Heard you scream and I ran up here. Been calling your name over and over, but you wouldn’t wake up. Scared me for a minute there.”
I’d been having that same dream where I was being chased. “I was running from wolves.”
He brushed a finger down my cheek. “It was just a dream.”
“More like a nightmare,” I whispered, my gaze locking onto his. He wore nothing but a pair of boxers. As my ragged breath slowed, I realized the only other thing between us was my threadbare tank top and skimpy panties.
“Autumn.” His breathing quickened and he growled so low it sounded like a purr. Then he tilted my face to meet his and drew closer until I felt his breath on my skin. “You’re too beautiful.”
WAHOO! I can’t wait to read the rest!
So here are a few tidbits about out Veronica, that I was able to pry out of her 🙂
What is your Latest Obsession?
The upcoming Veronica Mars movie (March 14, folks! I’m giddy just thinking about it). I’m a HUGE LoVe shipper. I’m currently rewatching all the episodes in preparation for the movie’s opening weekend.
Who is your Secret Crush?
That’s something that’s always difficult to keep secret since I’m a call-it-like-I-see-it kind of girl. Channing Tatum. No contest.
Shoes? Purses? or Jewelry? Boots and jeans.
Coffee? Tea? Hot chocolate? Or something else?
Ice-blended mochas I make at home for less than 200 calories. YUM!
What was your Best Vacation Ever?
A few years ago we went to Yosemite. The hubs went sightseeing with others and I
stayed in the hotel and got in a lot of writing!
Veronica Blade lives in Southern California with her husband and children. By day she runs the family business, but each night she slips away to spin her tales. She writes stories about young adults to relive her own childhood and to live vicariously through her characters. Except her heroes and heroines lead far more interesting lives — and they are always way hotter.
That’s the official bio. The unofficial bio is that I, Veronica Blade, am an addict. I love all things vampires and witches and werewolves — the stranger, the better! My favorite shows are The Vampire Diaries and True Blood. And, okay, I admit it, I’m still a huge Buffy fan.
Currently, I have two full length novels available (my most recent release, My Wolf’s Bane, and Something Witchy This Way Comes) and three novellas, plus three very short stories — the Single Girls Micro Trilogy. Everything I write is sweet romance, but I just might throw in some witches, vamps or werewolves — sometimes all of the above (but always light on the paranormal, heavy on the romance).
Summer of 2013, my next full length novel will be available — Wolves at the Door, which is the sequel to My Wolf’s Bane (second installment of the Shapes of Autumn series). This is YA and all about werewolves and other shifters. And, of course, lots of sweet romance.
I answer all my emails personally. If you’d like to contact me, you find me at veronica@veronicablade.com or FaceBook — where I spend way too much time. I look forward to hearing from you!!
