As you probably figured out from my website name, and design and from what I read, and write, I love Vampires and Werewolves. So of course the combination of the two in the same movie is inevitably my favorite! And I don’t like any better than Underworld.
Dark, gritty, and sexy, Underworld was an amazing movie that I still watch over and over. There will never be a sexier kiss A$$ heroine than Kate Beckinsale. And Bill Nighy is the greatest soulless vampire I have seen in a long time. Michael Sheen is totally sexy as the Alpha wolf and lets just say, that Kevin Grevioux, the writer and also werewolf Raze, has the deepest most knee weakening voice I’m ever heard.
What could be better than vampires using werewolves as guardians, only to ignite a war with their slaves that spans generations? From the awesome make up effects of the werewolf shifts, to the amazing new weaponry used in the film, it is a vampire action thriller for all paranormal junkies. And the love story between Selene and Michael is pretty great too.
If I had one downside, it would be Craven. Didn’t like the actor. And I wanted to see more of Amelia and her entourage. I thought they got killed off too fast. But other than that, I highly recommend it!
